Chicken Curry With Fried Onion And Lemon

Ingredients

  • 2 chickens, cut into small pieces (or equivalent fish/fowl)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 small onion, fried in butter
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • ¾ cup water
  • Juice of 2 lemons (or other souring agent)

Method

  1. 1 Cut the meat into small pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  2. 2 Add fried onion, curry powder, and water to the meat in a covered stewpan.
  3. 3 Stew covered for 30 minutes without opening the pan.
  4. 4 Add lemon juice and continue stewing until the gravy is thick and coats the meat.
