Chicken Curry With Fried Onion And Lemon
Ingredients
- 2 chickens, cut into small pieces (or equivalent fish/fowl)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 small onion, fried in butter
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- ¾ cup water
- Juice of 2 lemons (or other souring agent)
Method
- 1 Cut the meat into small pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- 2 Add fried onion, curry powder, and water to the meat in a covered stewpan.
- 3 Stew covered for 30 minutes without opening the pan.
- 4 Add lemon juice and continue stewing until the gravy is thick and coats the meat.
