Chicken And Nut Tea Sandwiches
Ingredients
- cooked chicken breast, chopped fine
- salt
- paprika
- oil
- lemon juice
- thin bread slices
- butter
- English walnuts, pecans, or almonds, blanched and thinly sliced
Method
- 1 Chop cooked chicken fine and pound to a paste in a mortar.
- 2 Season the chicken paste with salt, paprika, oil, and lemon juice to taste.
- 3 Spread the chicken mixture on thin bread slices.
- 4 Spread other bread slices with butter and press blanched, thinly sliced nuts onto them.
- 5 Press the chicken-topped bread onto the nut-topped bread to form sandwiches.
