Chicken And Mushroom Stew With Mace
Ingredients
- ¼ cup butter
- 6 mushroom caps, peeled and sliced
- 1 tsp grated onion
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup cream, stock, or milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- a few grains of mace
- 1 lb chicken, finely chopped
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a skillet. Add sliced mushrooms and grated onion; cook slowly for about 6 minutes.
- 2 Stir in flour until smooth. Add cream (or stock/milk), salt, pepper, and mace. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- 3 Stir in the chopped chicken. Heat through and serve immediately while hot.
