Chicken And Egg Pot Pie
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- Rich biscuit dough
- Butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- Potatoes (for potato balls)
- Chicken cooking liquid
- 1 egg white
Method
- 1 Boil the chicken until tender. Cool it, then remove the meat from the bones and chop it.
- 2 Line a buttered baking dish with half of the biscuit dough. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and butter, then place half in the dish.
- 3 Add a layer of sliced hard-boiled eggs, followed by the remaining chicken. Add boiled potato balls if desired.
- 4 Pour in enough chicken cooking liquid to fill the dish. Cover with the remaining biscuit crust, leaving a hole in the center for steam.
- 5 Brush the crust with beaten egg white. Bake at 350°F for at least 30 minutes until golden.
