Chicken And Corn Pot Pie
Ingredients
- 1 chicken, cut into pieces
- Fresh green corn, cut off the cob
- Salt
- Pepper
- Parsley
- Butter
- Water
- Pie crust
- Milk
- Flour
Method
- 1 Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Place a layer of chicken in the bottom of a stew pan, followed by a layer of corn. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- 2 Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and parsley. Add a piece of butter, cover with water, and top with a pie crust with slits cut in it.
- 3 Boil for one hour. Remove the crust and place it in a deep dish.
- 4 Remove the chicken and corn, placing them on the crust.
- 5 Thicken the remaining gravy by stirring in a mixture of milk and flour. Boil until thickened, then pour over the chicken and corn.
