Chestnut Stuffing With Parsley
Ingredients
- 1 pint large chestnuts
- 1 cup fine rolled crackers
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp chopped parsley
- 1/3 cup melted butter
Method
- 1 Shell chestnuts and remove inner skin by pouring boiling water over them.
- 2 Boil chestnuts in salted water or stock until soft, then mash fine.
- 3 Mix mashed chestnuts with rolled crackers, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- 4 Moisten mixture with melted butter before using as stuffing.
