Chestnut Salad With Walnuts
Ingredients
- large chestnuts
- lettuce
- French dressing (lemon juice)
- Mayonnaise (without mustard)
- broken English walnuts (optional)
Method
- 1 Shell and blanch the chestnuts, then cook until soft.
- 2 Allow the chestnuts to cool completely.
- 3 Serve the chestnuts on lettuce with French dressing or mustard-free mayonnaise.
- 4 Chill thoroughly before serving.
