Chestnut And Celery Salad
Ingredients
- chestnuts, shelled and blanched
- celery, finely sliced
- French dressing
- lettuce leaves
- sliced pimentos (optional)
Method
- 1 Boil the shelled and blanched chestnuts for about 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and let them cool completely.
- 2 Cut the cooled chestnuts into quarters and combine them with an equal quantity of finely sliced celery.
- 3 Toss the mixture with French dressing. Serve on a bed of lettuce leaves, adding sliced pimentos if desired.
