Chestnut And Celery Salad

Ingredients

  • chestnuts, shelled and blanched
  • celery, finely sliced
  • French dressing
  • lettuce leaves
  • sliced pimentos (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Boil the shelled and blanched chestnuts for about 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and let them cool completely.
  2. 2 Cut the cooled chestnuts into quarters and combine them with an equal quantity of finely sliced celery.
  3. 3 Toss the mixture with French dressing. Serve on a bed of lettuce leaves, adding sliced pimentos if desired.
