  • 1/4 lb bread crumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 lb Cheshire cheese, grated
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 3 egg whites

Method

  1. 1 Boil bread crumbs in milk, then beat with a wooden spoon.
  2. 2 Add grated cheese, egg yolks, and butter; beat well together.
  3. 3 Beat egg whites to stiff peaks and fold into the mixture.
  4. 4 Pour into paper cases or a dish and bake at 425°F for 20 minutes.
