Cherry Lemonade Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 lb black cherries, pitted and chopped
  • Syrup (to taste)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 3 cups water
  • 1-2 egg whites, unbeaten (optional, for pink color)

Method

  1. 1 Stone the cherries and cut them into small bits.
  2. 2 Sweeten the cherry juice heavily with syrup.
  3. 3 Add the juice of half a lemon and three cups of water to the mixture.
  4. 4 Freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker.
  5. 5 Optionally, add unbeaten egg whites to achieve a pink color.
