Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes With Onions
Ingredients
- 6 potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tsp salt
- pepper
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups hot milk
- ¾ cup grated cheese
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan. Add flour and salt, stirring until smooth.
- 2 Slowly add hot milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- 3 Stir in grated cheese until melted. Season with pepper.
- 4 Layer sliced potatoes, onions, and cheese sauce in a buttered baking dish.
- 5 Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
