Cheesy Baked Potato Casserole
Ingredients
- 1/2 pint milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- cold boiled potatoes, sliced or chopped
- grated cheese
- salt
- pepper
- mustard
- cayenne pepper
Method
- 1 Cream butter and flour, then add to boiling milk. Cook in a double boiler for about 10 minutes to make a white sauce.
- 2 Slice or chop cold boiled potatoes and place a layer in a baking dish.
- 3 Cover the potatoes thickly with the white sauce and grated cheese. Season with salt, pepper, mustard, and cayenne pepper.
- 4 Repeat layers of potatoes, sauce, and cheese. Bake for 20 minutes.
