Cheese Stuffed Onions
Ingredients
- fine white onions
- salt
- bread crumbs
- pepper
- grated cheese
- catsup
- cream or milk
- butter
Method
- 1 Boil onions in salted water for 1 hour, changing water 3 times. Drain and scoop out the centers.
- 2 Mix bread crumbs, salt, pepper, grated cheese, catsup, and mashed onion. Moisten with cream or milk.
- 3 Fill onions with the mixture. Wrap each in buttered paper, twist ends, and place in a buttered pan.
- 4 Bake for 1 hour. Remove paper, pour melted butter over them, and serve.
