Cheese Puff Pastry Strips
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 egg white
- 2 egg yolks
- Salt and paprika to taste
- 2 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ pound plain or puff pastry
Method
- 1 Cream the butter and beat in the egg white and yolks.
- 2 Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and paprika.
- 3 Roll the pastry thin and cut into two rectangles.
- 4 Spread the cheese mixture on one rectangle and top with the second.
- 5 Score the pastry into 1x3 inch strips, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 15 minutes.
- 6 Cut out the strips while hot and serve immediately.
