Cheese Melt Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 4 oz soft American cheese
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 ½ tbsp cream
- 1/8 tsp salt
- dash of red pepper
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- slices of bread, cut and buttered
Method
- 1 Chop the cheese finely and place in a saucepan.
- 2 Add the beaten egg yolk, cream, salt, red pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- 3 Stir over heat until the cheese is thoroughly melted.
- 4 Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 5 Spread the mixture between buttered bread slices.
- 6 Press two sandwiches together and cut into desired shapes.
