Cheese Gougères
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup grated cheese
- 6 eggs
Method
- 1 Combine water and butter in a saucepan over heat. Stir in flour to form a thick batter, cooking and stirring until the mixture pulls away from the pan.
- 2 Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Stir in the grated cheese until well combined.
- 3 Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the batter is light and fluffy.
- 4 Drop small lumps of batter onto buttered parchment paper. Bake in a 425°F oven until golden brown.
