  • 1 pint heavy cream, whipped
  • 1/2 ounce gelatin
  • 1/4 cup hot milk
  • 2 egg whites, beaten to stiff peaks
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or almond extract
  • Sponge cake slices or ladyfingers

Method

  1. 1 Dissolve gelatin in hot milk and let cool completely.
  2. 2 Beat egg whites to stiff peaks.
  3. 3 Whip heavy cream until light.
  4. 4 Combine cream, egg whites, powdered sugar, and flavoring.
  5. 5 Fold in the cooled gelatin mixture gently.
  6. 6 Line a mold with sponge cake slices or ladyfingers.
