Charlotte Russe Cake With Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons boiling water
- 1 large cup heavy cream
- 1/4 package gelatin
- 1/4 cup milk
- sugar to taste
- flavoring to taste
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, eggs, and boiling water to form a batter.
- 2 Bake the batter in a cake pan until done, similar to a sandwich cake.
- 3 Dissolve gelatin in a little milk. Whip cream to stiff peaks.
- 4 Fold dissolved gelatin, sugar, and flavoring into the whipped cream.
- 5 Spread the cream mixture over the top of the cooled cake.
