Cauliflower With Drawn Butter Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 head white cauliflower
- 1 large heaping tbsp butter
- 1 heaping tsp flour
- 1 cup hot milk
- Salt
Method
- 1 Trim cauliflower leaves and stem so it stands upright in a dish. Place in a saucepan and cover with boiling water.
- 2 Add salt and cook for about 20 minutes until tender when pierced with a fork. Remove and drain in a colander.
- 3 Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour, and cook without browning. Gradually whisk in hot milk until smooth.
- 4 Place cauliflower in a hot vegetable dish, pour the drawn butter sauce over it, and serve immediately.
