Caraway Seed Yeast Buns

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs flour
  • 6 oz butter
  • 6 oz sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 pint milk
  • ½ pint yeast
  • ½ oz caraway seeds

Method

  1. 1 Beat eggs until thick. Melt butter in milk, then mix in yeast.
  2. 2 Strain liquid into flour and add caraway seeds. Work into a light dough.
  3. 3 Let dough rise near warmth. Shape into small buns, handling minimally.
  4. 4 Bake for 20 minutes.
