Caraway Seed Currant Buns
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup currants
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 2 tsp yeast
- 2 eggs (optional)
Method
- 1 Rub the butter into the flour until it resembles grated bread.
- 2 Add the currants, sugar, caraway seeds, and yeast. Mix well.
- 3 If using, beat the eggs and incorporate them into the dough.
- 4 Shape the mixture into small buns and let them rise for 30 minutes.
