Caraway Seed Cornmeal Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • Weight of sugar equal to eggs
  • Half weight of butter equal to eggs
  • Twice weight of cornmeal equal to eggs
  • 1/2 oz caraway seeds
  • Lukewarm milk

Method

  1. 1 Cream the butter.
  2. 2 Add egg yolks, sugar, seeds, and cornmeal.
  3. 3 Add enough lukewarm milk to moisten the mixture.
  4. 4 Beat egg whites to a froth and fold in.
  5. 5 Bake immediately in a fairly quick oven (400°F).
