Caraway Seed Butter Cakes
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 cup butter
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 2 egg yolks
- 2-3 tbsp water
- sugar for sprinkling
Method
- 1 Rub butter into flour until crumbly. Stir in caraway seeds.
- 2 Add beaten egg yolks and enough water to form a stiff paste.
- 3 Roll dough thin and cut into shapes using a glass or cutter.
- 4 Prick cakes with a fork. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- 5 Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425°F until golden brown.
