Caraway Currant Buns
Ingredients
- 1 lb fine flour
- 2 lbs currants
- a few caraway seeds
- ¼ lb moist sugar
- 1 pint new milk
- 2 tbsp yeast
Method
- 1 Mix flour, currants, caraway seeds, sugar, milk, and yeast into a stiff paste.
- 2 Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
- 3 Roll out the dough and place into baking tins.
- 4 Let rise again for 30 minutes.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until done.
