Caraway Currant Buns

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fine flour
  • 2 lbs currants
  • a few caraway seeds
  • ¼ lb moist sugar
  • 1 pint new milk
  • 2 tbsp yeast

Method

  1. 1 Mix flour, currants, caraway seeds, sugar, milk, and yeast into a stiff paste.
  2. 2 Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
  3. 3 Roll out the dough and place into baking tins.
  4. 4 Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  5. 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until done.
