Ingredients

  • Red rose petals, cleaned
  • 3 times weight of rose petals in sugar
  • Water (equal volume to rose petals)

Method

  1. 1 Remove the white bases from red rose petals. Shred the petals slightly.
  2. 2 Combine petals and an equal volume of water in a pot. Cover and simmer until petals are tender.
  3. 3 Add sugar equal to three times the weight of the rose petals. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
