Candied Quince Or Pear With Ginger
Ingredients
- 1 lb quince or pear, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup corn syrup
- ½ lb fresh ginger root OR 2 oz crystallized ginger
Method
- 1 Steam or cook the sliced and peeled fruit in a small amount of water until tender.
- 2 Add the ginger and corn syrup to the fruit.
- 3 Cook slowly for 20 minutes.
