Candied Quince Or Pear With Ginger

Ingredients

  • 1 lb quince or pear, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • ½ lb fresh ginger root OR 2 oz crystallized ginger

Method

  1. 1 Steam or cook the sliced and peeled fruit in a small amount of water until tender.
  2. 2 Add the ginger and corn syrup to the fruit.
  3. 3 Cook slowly for 20 minutes.
