Candied Orange Peels

Ingredients

  • Orange peels
  • Cold water
  • Sugar
  • Water (for syrup)

Method

  1. 1 Steep orange peels in cold water to remove bitterness, changing the water as needed.
  2. 2 Gently dry the peels. Optionally, scrape off the white pith from the inside of the peels.
  3. 3 Prepare a simple syrup using sugar and water.
  4. 4 Candy the peels in the syrup until tender and coated.
