Candied Orange Peels
Ingredients
- Orange peels
- Cold water
- Sugar
- Water (for syrup)
Method
- 1 Steep orange peels in cold water to remove bitterness, changing the water as needed.
- 2 Gently dry the peels. Optionally, scrape off the white pith from the inside of the peels.
- 3 Prepare a simple syrup using sugar and water.
- 4 Candy the peels in the syrup until tender and coated.
