Candied Lemon Drop Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb flour
- 3 oz butter
- 3 oz candied peel
- Grated rind of 1 lemon
- 1 egg
- A little milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 oz sugar
Method
- 1 Rub the butter into the flour.
- 2 Add the sugar, grated lemon rind, baking powder, and chopped candied peel. Mix well.
- 3 Mix in the well-beaten egg and a little milk to form a dough.
- 4 Place small heaps on a greased baking sheet.
- 5 Bake in a 400°F oven for about 15 minutes.
