Candied Crab Apples
Ingredients
- 6 quarts crab apples
- 1½ cups sugar
- 2 cups water
Method
- 1 Combine sugar and water in a large pot. Stir over heat until sugar dissolves.
- 2 Bring syrup to a boil and skim off any foam or impurities.
- 3 Wash crab apples, rubbing the blossom end well.
- 4 Add apples to the boiling syrup and cook gently until tender, 20-50 minutes.
