Buttery Tomato Soup On Toast
Ingredients
- 1 quart peeled and cut tomatoes
- 2 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
- slices of bread, toasted
Method
- 1 Boil the peeled and cut tomatoes for about 10 minutes.
- 2 Strain the tomatoes and return the liquid to a saucepan.
- 3 Add salt, pepper, and butter to the saucepan and cook for 5 minutes.
- 4 Pour the hot tomato mixture over toasted bread slices on a platter.
