Buttermilk Spice Drop Cakes
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- Nutmeg or cinnamon to taste
- Flour as needed to form a dough
Method
- 1 Cream 1 cup butter and 1 cup sugar together until light and fluffy.
- 2 Beat in 3 eggs one at a time, then stir in ¾ cup buttermilk and your choice of nutmeg or cinnamon.
- 3 Gradually add flour until the mixture forms a stiff dough that can be rolled out.
- 4 Roll the dough out and cut into round cakes.
- 5 Bake in a preheated 425°F oven until golden brown.
