Buttermilk Flapjacks
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 eggs, separated
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Method
- 1 Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
- 2 Beat egg yolks, then add milk.
- 3 Pour milk mixture into dry ingredients and beat to a smooth batter.
- 4 Add melted butter, then fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- 5 Bake on a hot griddle until done.
