Buttermilk Bran Muffins
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups bran
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp syrup
- 2 tbsp shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 tsp baking soda
Method
- 1 Dissolve the baking soda in the buttermilk and beat to mix.
- 2 Fill well-greased muffin pans with the batter.
- 3 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for twenty-five minutes.
