Buttered Young Beets
Ingredients
- young beets
- 1 tablespoon butter
- salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- cold water
Method
- 1 Peel young beets and cut into dice.
- 2 Cook slowly in water to cover until tender.
- 3 Add butter, salt, and pepper.
- 4 Rub cornstarch in cold water and stir into boiling beets to thicken.
