Buttered Toast With Poached Eggs

Ingredients

  • 1 pint water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • salt to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices bread, toasted and buttered

Method

  1. 1 Add water, butter, and salt to a clean skillet and bring to a boil.
  2. 2 Break eggs into a plate, then gently slide them into the boiling water.
  3. 3 Cook for about one minute, then remove eggs with a slotted spoon.
  4. 4 Place eggs on top of toasted, buttered bread slices and serve immediately.
