Buttered Toast With Poached Eggs
Ingredients
- 1 pint water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- salt to taste
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices bread, toasted and buttered
Method
- 1 Add water, butter, and salt to a clean skillet and bring to a boil.
- 2 Break eggs into a plate, then gently slide them into the boiling water.
- 3 Cook for about one minute, then remove eggs with a slotted spoon.
- 4 Place eggs on top of toasted, buttered bread slices and serve immediately.
