Buttered String Beans
Ingredients
- string beans
- butter
- salt
- pepper
Method
- 1 String the beans, cut them in half, then cut each half lengthwise.
- 2 Throw the beans into boiling water and bring to a boil.
- 3 Remove from heat, drain, cover with cold water, and let stand until ready to cook.
- 4 Drain again, cover with fresh boiling water, and cook for 15 minutes.
- 5 When almost done, add salt. When tender, drain and toss with butter, salt, and pepper to taste.
