Buttered String Beans

  • butter
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

  1. 1 String the beans, cut them in half, then cut each half lengthwise.
  2. 2 Throw the beans into boiling water and bring to a boil.
  3. 3 Remove from heat, drain, cover with cold water, and let stand until ready to cook.
  4. 4 Drain again, cover with fresh boiling water, and cook for 15 minutes.
  5. 5 When almost done, add salt. When tender, drain and toss with butter, salt, and pepper to taste.
