Buttered Mint Peas

Ingredients

  • 1 lb dried peas (seed peas)
  • Water for boiling
  • Salt
  • 1 bundle fresh mint
  • Butter
  • Pepper

Method

  1. 1 Pick and wash the peas. Place them in a pot with boiling water.
  2. 2 Boil until tender. Remove some peas, strain them, and set aside.
  3. 3 Season the remaining peas with salt, mint, butter, and pepper.
  4. 4 Stew the mixture leisurely until thickened. Stir in the reserved peas.
