Buttered Mint Peas
Ingredients
- 1 lb dried peas (seed peas)
- Water for boiling
- Salt
- 1 bundle fresh mint
- Butter
- Pepper
Method
- 1 Pick and wash the peas. Place them in a pot with boiling water.
- 2 Boil until tender. Remove some peas, strain them, and set aside.
- 3 Season the remaining peas with salt, mint, butter, and pepper.
- 4 Stew the mixture leisurely until thickened. Stir in the reserved peas.
