Buttered Mashed Peas
Ingredients
- peas
- salt
- pepper
- butter
- sugar (optional)
Method
- 1 Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the peas and do not cover the saucepan.
- 2 Boil for 10 to 20 minutes, or until the peas are soft enough to be easily mashed.
- 3 Drain the water completely from the peas.
- 4 Season with salt, pepper, butter, and a little sugar if desired. Mix gently with a fork to avoid breaking the peas.
