Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Few grains of salt
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Method

  1. 1 Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. 2 Gradually add boiling water while stirring constantly.
  3. 3 Boil for 5 minutes, stirring until thickened.
  4. 4 Remove from heat and stir in butter and lemon juice.
  5. 5 Serve immediately.
