Buttered Cheese Toast With Mustard
Ingredients
- bread slices, ½ inch thick
- butter
- grated cheese
- salt
- pepper
- cayenne pepper
- French mustard
Method
- 1 Cut bread into circles or strips. Sauté in butter on both sides until amber colored.
- 2 Cover bread with a thick layer of grated cheese. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a dash of cayenne.
- 3 Place in a hot oven for 15 minutes to soften the cheese. Serve immediately while very hot.
