Buttered Boiled Beets

- butter
- salt

Method
- 1 Wash beets and cut off tops.
- 2 Place beets in boiling water.
- 3 Boil for 1 to 2 hours until tender.
- 4 Transfer beets to cold water for one minute.
- 5 Peel and slice the beets.
- 6 Season with butter, salt, and pepper.
- 7 Serve hot.
