Buttered Beets
Ingredients
- 4 medium beets
- 1 tablespoon butter
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Clean and cook beets in boiling water until soft enough to pierce with a fork. Drain and remove skins.
- 2 Slice beets thin or cut into 1/2-inch cubes. Season well with salt and pepper.
- 3 Add 1 tablespoon of butter for each four persons. Heat beets thoroughly in the butter and serve hot.
