Ingredients

  • 4 medium beets
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Clean and cook beets in boiling water until soft enough to pierce with a fork. Drain and remove skins.
  2. 2 Slice beets thin or cut into 1/2-inch cubes. Season well with salt and pepper.
  3. 3 Add 1 tablespoon of butter for each four persons. Heat beets thoroughly in the butter and serve hot.
