Butter Shortbread With Confits
Ingredients
- 2 lbs sifted flour
- 1 lb butter
- ½ lb sugar
- confits for center
Method
- 1 Place 2 lbs sifted flour, 1 lb butter, and ½ lb sugar on a surface.
- 2 Knead ingredients together until well mixed.
- 3 Form mixture into four cakes, half an inch thick.
- 4 Pinch the edges and poke holes all over with a fork.
- 5 Place confits in the center of each cake.
- 6 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until done.
