Butter Sautéed Jam Sandwiches
Ingredients
- bread slices
- milk
- jam or preserve
- butter
- powdered sugar
Method
- 1 Cut bread into ¼-inch thick slices and stamp into 3-inch circles using a biscuit cutter.
- 2 Lightly moisten bread circles with milk, being careful not to make them soggy.
- 3 Spread jam or preserve on one side of each circle and sandwich two together.
- 4 Sauté sandwiches in butter in a frying pan until golden brown on both sides.
- 5 Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot. Optionally serve with sabayon sauce.
