Butter Rice
Ingredients
- 1 lb rice
- 1 quart water
- 1 oz butter
- salt to taste
Method
- 1 Wash the rice and place it in a saucepan with 1 quart of cold water, butter, and salt.
- 2 Bring to a gentle boil over heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 3 Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until grains are separate and just cooked through.
