Ingredients

  • turnips, scrubbed, peeled, and cut into 1/2-inch dice
  • salted water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Method

  1. 1 Scrub and peel turnips, then cut into 1/2-inch dice.
  2. 2 Place turnips in boiling salted water with the lid off. Cook until tender when pierced with a fork.
  3. 3 Drain the water completely.
  4. 4 Season with salt and pepper, then add butter. Melt the butter and serve hot.
