Butter Poached Turnips
Ingredients
- turnips, scrubbed, peeled, and cut into 1/2-inch dice
- salted water
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
Method
- 1 Scrub and peel turnips, then cut into 1/2-inch dice.
- 2 Place turnips in boiling salted water with the lid off. Cook until tender when pierced with a fork.
- 3 Drain the water completely.
- 4 Season with salt and pepper, then add butter. Melt the butter and serve hot.
