Butter Milk Biscuit Rolls
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- ¾ cup warm milk
- 1 cake compressed yeast
- a little tepid milk
- 1 tsp salt
- enough flour to make bread dough
Method
- 1 Melt butter in warm milk. Dissolve yeast in a little tepid milk, then stir into the milk mixture.
- 2 Add salt and enough flour to form a bread dough. Knead briefly, then set in a warm place to rise for about two hours.
- 3 Roll out dough using minimal flour. Cut with a biscuit cutter or shape by hand into rolls.
- 4 Place rolls in pans and let rise on a shelf over the range for 10-15 minutes.
- 5 Bake for 15-20 minutes until done.
