Butter Laminated Puff Pastry
Ingredients
- 1 lb all-purpose flour
- 1 lb unsalted butter, divided into 4 parts
- Water, as needed
Method
- 1 Sift 1 lb flour and set aside ¼ cup for rolling.
- 2 Cut 1 part butter into the remaining flour with a knife.
- 3 Add water to form a stiff dough.
- 4 Roll out the dough and fold in 1 part butter; repeat this lamination process three times until all butter is incorporated.
- 5 Handle the dough as little as possible and keep it chilled.
- 6 Roll out, cut into shapes, and bake at 425°F for 10-15 minutes until golden and puffed.
