Butter Glazed Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed and sliced
  • Plenty of water
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Small piece of butter
  • Pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Remove strings from beans and cut into slices.
  2. 2 Boil beans in plenty of salted water with a little sugar for 15 minutes or longer depending on age.
  3. 3 Drain beans in a colander.
  4. 4 Return beans to a saucepan with butter, pepper, and salt. Shake over heat for 1-2 minutes.
