Butter Glazed Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 lb green beans, trimmed and sliced
- Plenty of water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- Small piece of butter
- Pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Remove strings from beans and cut into slices.
- 2 Boil beans in plenty of salted water with a little sugar for 15 minutes or longer depending on age.
- 3 Drain beans in a colander.
- 4 Return beans to a saucepan with butter, pepper, and salt. Shake over heat for 1-2 minutes.
