  • 2 bunches French carrots, cleaned and trimmed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 lumps sugar

Method

  1. 1 Place the cleaned carrots in a saucepan with salt, pepper, 3/4 cup water, butter, and sugar.
  2. 2 Cover the pan and boil for 30 minutes.
  3. 3 Remove the lid and simmer until the water has evaporated, leaving only the butter.
